Immanuel visits Camp Lakeview around five times a year with retreats for grades 3-12. Lakeview is a Lutheran summer camp and retreat facility in southern Indiana that provides outdoor adventure and opportunities to meditate on God's Word together. (Website) These retreats are a great bonding experience for the kids, a perfect opportunity to learn more about their faith and a time to try new things like horseback riding, kayaking or rock climbing!
We typically offer two different servant events during the summer, one for students who have complete 7th and 8th grade and another for those who have completed 9th-12th grade. Our 7/8th grade event changes most years but our high schoolers serve every summer in North Carolina, doing service project sin the Appalachian region.
Although it is ways away, it is never too early to start planning to join us for our trip to Germany! If you will be in high school by December 2023, we would love to have you come with us. We travel all over the country to see the sights of the Lutheran Reformation, as well other landmarks.
Most people pay for a large portion of their trip with fundraising through church events like the pie auction, chili cook-off and yard sale. If you are interested in learning more about fundraising, talk to Pastor Jud or Mrs. Jud.
